“Have to.” was first previewed on the 19th of September 19, 2025. That day, Brent Faiyaz’s third studio album was expected to be announced. Eventually, the song turned out to be the lead single off of the album “ICON”. “Have to.” was officially released via his label ISO Supremacy on the 31st of October, 2025, accompanied by its music video where the whole situation with his new album is explained during the introduction. The video shows him recording music on a private jet from New York to Milan.
“This next chapter is about elevation – sonically, visually, and personally,” said Brent Faiyaz about this track. “Everything I’ve learned until this point led me here. With ‘have to.,’ I wanted to strip things down and get honest, to create a space where vulnerability meets confidence. It’s about embracing who I am now, without compromise, and sharing that journey with people who’ve been riding with me since day one.”
