Nigerian relationship therapist and social media personality Blessing CEO has spoken out against critics who questioned her recent revelation about battling stage 4 cancer.
Her announcement sparked disbelief and heated reactions online, with some—including Verydarkman—saying they would demand refunds of their contributions if her claims turned out to be false.
In a video response, Blessing expressed frustration at what she described as widespread ignorance on social media, especially when it comes to sensitive health issues like cancer. She argued that many of those criticizing her lack both the knowledge and personal experience needed to properly interpret medical information.
She also addressed comments about financial support, pointing out that most of those speaking out had not contributed anything.
“If I show you the result, can you interpret it, you wey no go school?” she said. “Most of you that are making mouth did not bring one kobo. If VDM wan collect him money na for installment na. Him go wait make I sell hair and cloth give am back him money.”
Blessing added that only people who have lived through cancer can truly understand the struggle. “A lot of people commenting on my post are ignorant about cancer. The only people who can understand are people who have gone through it. Even if I paste my result now, you can’t read it…” she said.
