Tinubu to Commission Key Projects During Two Day Lagos Visit
The Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Lagos State Governor, , has announced that will embark on a two day working visit to Lagos State this week.
According to Akosile, the President will be received by Governor as part of activities scheduled for the visit, which is set to begin on Wednesday, April 8 and conclude on Thursday, April 9, 2026.
During the visit, Tinubu is expected to commission several major infrastructure and development projects across the state. Among them is the Ojota Opebi Link Bridge, described as a strategic and transformative project delivered by the Sanwo Olu administration.
Akosile noted that the bridge represents a fulfilled promise by the state government and will be officially flagged off by the President during the visit.
Other projects slated for inauguration include the Lagos State Geographic Information Service in Alausa, the Lagos Multi Agency Building, and a number of community focused developments. These include the Tolu Schools Complex in Ajegunle, the Maracana Stadium featuring 19 mini football pitches, and the Lagos Food Logistics Hub located in Abijo.
The Tolu Schools Complex stands out as one of the flagship projects. The facility comprises 36 schools covering primary, junior, and senior secondary levels, spread across 11.7 hectares. It is projected to accommodate over 20,000 students.

Governor Sanwo Olu, who inspected the project earlier in April, described it as the largest school community in Africa. He emphasized that the complex is equipped with modern learning facilities, including classrooms, sports fields, and recreational infrastructure.
The governor reiterated that education remains a central pillar of his administration, stressing the commitment to providing accessible and quality learning environments for all children in Lagos State.
