Lady Gaga and Doechii have joined forces on a brand-new track for The Devil Wears Prada 2.
The first trailer for the upcoming film features a preview of their original song Runway, which plays over the clip with an upbeat dance rhythm.
The teaser gives fans their first listen to the collaboration ahead of the film’s release.
Gaga has praised Doechii in the past, calling her one of the most exciting new writers in music.
Speaking to British Vogue, she said: “You don’t often see someone come out of the gate with a pen that feels immediately legendary. That’s Doechii to me. I fell in love with her music and her raw, deeply personal perspective.” She added: “The power in her words, her vulnerability, the way she rhymes with this wild mix of audacity and emotional precision – it struck me to the core.”
Gaga is also set to appear in the fashion-driven sequel.
She filmed her scenes during her Mayhem Ball Tour last year, following her major role in Joker: Folie à Deux. She also made a cameo in Netflix’s hit series Wednesday.
The Doechii duet reveal comes as Gaga pulled out of her show in Montreal after coming down with a respiratory infection.
She was due to play her third night at the Bell Centre on Monday (06.04.26) but was told by her doctor not to perform.
She announced the cancellation on her Instagram Story just hours before she was set to take the stage.
In her post, Gaga told fans she’d been battling the illness for several days and had been trying to rest, but her condition had worsened.
She said she’d been “strongly advised” not to go ahead with the show and admitted she wouldn’t have been able to deliver the performance fans deserved.
She apologised to everyone who had made plans to attend, saying she felt “heartbroken” to let people down.
The Born This Way singer said: “Hi everyone, I’m so sorry to share that I’m unable to perform tonight and have to cancel the show. I’ve been fighting a respiratory infection for the past few days and doing everything I can to rest and recover, but it’s gotten worse.
“My doctor has strongly advised me not to perform today and to be honest I don’t think I could give you the quality of a performance today that you deserve.”
Gaga added that her earlier shows in Montreal had been “magical and deeply meaningful”, making the cancellation even harder.
She went on: “I know how deeply disappointing this is, and I truly could not feel worse about letting you down. I’m so sorry to everyone who made plans to be there and support me.
“Being in Montreal and performing for you on Thursday and Friday was magical and deeply meaningful. To everyone who was coming tonight, I’m absolutely heartbroken and so sorry.”
